The Isle of Wight Model Engineering Society
Membership Details

On joining the Isle of Wight Model Engineering Society , a member becomes entitled to attend Monthly Meetings, the monthly Track & Pond Days, to receive the Society's quarterly newsletter, the Vectimod, to gain the support and advice of like-minded model engineers and boatbuilders and the opportunity to join in all the other activities that we arrange.

Among less obvious benefits of membership are the ability to obtain a recognised Boiler Test Certificate for one's locomotive or steamboat and get insurance cover for their public operation at discounted cost. Within certain guidelines on safety, a member is also able to use the Society's tracks or pond to test models at any time.

Membership is not restricted to model makers resident on the Isle of Wight. We have a number of regular visitors, often members of mainland Societies, who choose to be full IWMES members and pay the modest subscription we ask.

Membership Costs
Full Membership £20.00 per year
Junior Membership
(10-18)
£10.00 per year

Subscriptions are due on joining or at the Society's AGM in November each year, running till the next AGM. Members joining after August 1st are deemed to be paid up for the following year.
